Emperor's Dream - A Positive Analysis Emperor Akbar once had a bad dream: All, except one, his teeth have fallen in quick succession. As he woke up from his sleep, he put his right fingers on his teeth, and found them intact. He felt himself relieved of the fear that he had lost his teeth.
However, Akbar wanted to have his dream verified by consulting the experts. The first thing in the morning that Akbar did was to consult his court astrologer who, in turn, brought a host of experts on the subject to interpret emperor's strange dream. There was a lot of debate on the influence of the dream on the emperor's life. All of them came finally to a single conclusion, which they established in an unequivocal language and pronounced their verdict in the following words: "Mahabali, your dream the previous night has foreboding consequences on all your kith and kin: All will die before you!" Hearing this, Akbar was in jitters, and he even forgot to offer them any gifts. They left the palace most disappointed. |
